Like him or hate him, DJT is NOT a politician or diplomat. The UN is a government paid excuse to go to NYC (with diplomatic immunity) and, in the case of developing nations (can’t say 3rd world, I hear) live high on the hog at receptions and social events while actually accomplishing … ? Great idea, but horribly flawed execution. Like the League of Nations, it was doomed from the start.
If diplomacy is being civil, how did walking out before Netanyahu’s speech play? Self-righteous idiots. The UN is toothless and a cradle of elitist, hand wringing wanna-be’s. They want to do stuff, but they can’t get out of their own way. If they really wanted to end the crisis is Gaza, the war in Ukraine, the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, or a host of other issues, they would. If the entire world would stand together (Rodenberry’s Star Trek?) it would be different, but people are people and bias is a real thing.

As for things Biden did, there’s a massive semiconductor foundry just south of me that’s recently gotten one production line up and running, and has an even higher-end line well in the works. That’s a CHIPS Act success, unlike Trump’s Foxconn con in his first term.
Helped a number of my friends keep their health insurance with premium reductions - the current spending bill is going to throw a lot of them to the wolves. Still waiting on the health care plan Trump promised a decade ago.
Several trashed highways in my area were finally rebuilt and improved thanks to the infrastructure act. I remember “infrastructure week” from 2017 and everything it did(n’t).
I could afford to get solar panels and a backup battery for my house thanks to a tax incentive, which has dropped my power bill to nearly zero and keeps the lights and refrigerator on when power goes out. I live in a rural area, and while blackouts aren’t frequent, they always last for hours. I also have my battery hooked up to the power company’s network, and they can and do tap it to load-balance during peak hours, making the grid more reliable and efficient even beyond the cheap kilowatts I feed into the grid when the sun’s high and the AC is off. Glad I got in when I did, because those programs are being axed now.
New investment in forestry is saving lives near me - my girlfriend is a forester and has been showing me the progress being made in wildfire mitigation. The forests north of here, where she and other friends of mine live, were clear-cut around the start of the last century and have regrown overdense and sickly. Wildfires have left mountainsides bare, and the subsequent mudslides have been killing people. There are places here where a wildfire followed by a rain will cause billions in damage and make national news. Those sick forests are being treated now - the unhealthiest trees are being culled so the healthy ones can grow and survive subsequent fires and keep the ground stable. I promise it’s more effective than sending people out with rakes.
Those are just some of the things that his administration did that affect me personally. I’ll give Trump credit wherever it’s due - he signed a bill that improved my VA care experience last time he was in office, for instance - but, given that I don’t consider hurting Americans to be a positive thing, I haven’t seen changes like these I listed yet this time around.
