For my fellow nerds & those curious about our universe & reality. Apparently we have trillions of these ghost particles passing through our bodies ever second & Francis Halzen is on to them. Atoms & matter are cool, but whats out there besides matter & ideas?

> STOCKHOLM (AP): Belgian-born scientist Francis Halzen won the Nobel Prize in physics Tuesday for his efforts to demystify a rare group of neutrinos, tiny cosmic particles that researchers believe offer clues to how the universe evolved. Halzen said...

First time since 1992 that the physics prize was awarded to a single recipient.

From the article:

“Notably, this is the first time since 1992 that the physics prize has gone to a lone recipient—it is usually divided among two or three.”

More about neutrinos. If an atom was a size of a football stadium, a neutrino would be 10 billionth the size of a grain of sand, if you believe the experts?

I read several years ago that neutrinos are so small, just looking at them makes them change directions. A couple years later at a 100,000+ seat football stadium I remembered that fact/theory & wondered if the 80,000 person home field advantage crowd could actually change the outcome of a field goal or extra point to win a game? Supposedly these neutrinos are easy to move & they move very fast? Maybe the control of neutrinos will be an important part of how we move things in the future? Maybe a neutrino turbine or neutrino sail will be the future?

> Neutrinos are the lightest of the massive fundamental particles in the Standard Model. We know that neutrinos have mass because we have observed them change from one flavor into another, a process that can happen only if the neutrinos have mass....

In the words of the Afro- American spiritual song “ He has got the whole world in his hands”. If you took the entire mass of the earth and compared it to the equivalent mass of a black hole the black hole mass would be as big as a ball bearing 10mm in diameter.
