I am a former Marine that raised his son by himself and took care of my mother for the last 5 years of her life. Now my mother has passed and my son is an engineering student on a full scholarship. I would like to start a new career at sea in the maritime industry. I have my TWIC and was thinking of going to MPT in Ft Lauderdale to get my Able Seaman training. What sector of the industry would be the best to seek an entry level berth now?
