# New SAR craft for Red Cross

A new type of fast SAR craft has been delivered to the Red Cross in Bergen:

Mare Safety has delivered a new search and rescue boat to Hordaland Red Cross:

After a 9 hours delivery trip from Ulsteinvik in calm seas and in glorious sunshine, the boat docked at the Red Cross’ facility in Laksevåg in Bergen and was ready for service:

In Bergen they were well received by a large welcome committee with Norwegian flags and a barbecue on the quay.

But the barbecue party was short lived:

- Already after half an hour the first call came from the rescue center and it was out on its first rescue mission.
