Apology for further digressing from the “Cartoons” header: For those with a historic interest in shipping, I will attach Samuel Plimsoll’s 1873 passionate appeal “Our Seaman” in which he lays the groundwork for legislation against overloading of ‘coffin ships’ which cost the life of many seafarers. It was nearly a hundred years, until the Geneva Loadline Convention was formally adoped in 1968…
