Has anyone gone to the MARAD Fire School in Ohio? How was it?
What are the best places for meals and lodging?
I went 3 years ago. It was pretty good. They had compressor problems so we missed out on one afternoon of firefighting in the mock ship. The instruction was good. I stayed at the Days Inn that is less than a 5 min drive. Pretty cheap,has a pool, and I just brought a cooler full of food for lunch everyday. If you stay in Maumee you will pay a little more but you will be close to restaurants and evening activities.
