# Looking for Guidance on what MMC to get Inland/Hudson River/Champlain Canal

You can use military sea time accrued after your license is issued as time “sailing on your license”. At least, USCG personnel can so I see no reason that USN personnel can’t.

Yes, I understand that now. But I still think it is a moot point as the OP doesn’t have sufficient creditable time for a license. Are you suggesting he use his currently creditable time for an AB?

No. I don’t see any benefit of that.
