Does anyone have any info on Kirby Inland at the moment? I went through interviews, passed background check, was told the scheduling, benefits, pay, etc., but they stopped short of doing a physical saying they were in a hiring freeze until after the new year. Going for entry level deckhand. No experience. Was hoping this was my opportunity after years of trying. I keep in touch with the recruiter. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts or info. Tryin to sit tight and wait. Just getting restless. Spanks.

I’d take a job with any company. Kirby was the only one I got much response from. I will look into the leads you suggested. Thank you very much.

I think it’s designed to go from OS to Mate.

Isn’t this similar to how mates are trained in Europe? Minus the academy aspect in this case.
