I have been trying to get in as Chief mate, DPO, SDPO bridge team to go ahead in my career in a drill ship…Everyone ask a drilling experience… How to get a break in this stream… I am already an unlimited master ticket holder and have vast experience in offshore pipelaying, construction, heavylifts.
HOW TO GET IN…

It took me several years with similar background. I wanted C/M position on 6th gen drillship. Try contacting recruiters on Linkedin. I had several job offers, but just as DPO at nearly all of the drilling companies, SDPO at two, and C/M at a few. I finally found what I wanted and made the jump, after being persistant over a long period of time. Knowing someone helps.
