# I hope this is just a rumor, but... I just received word of a possible Rig on Fire

Just got word from a trusted source that there might be a rig on fire in the Gulf of Mexico, is this just a rumor, or is there any factual basis to this?

Just checked Google News and nothing there. If it is true, let’s all pray that it is small and nobody is hurt or lost. Our industry does not need another black eye now!

The only thing that I have heard of is a small spill from a rig in the Gulf.
