So the US annexes Greenland because it can. Then what? Does Trump insist that those inhabitants comprising 85% of the population that donât want to be be US citizens be deported? Do American citizens see themselves as colonial power? I donât think so.
It is the most ridiculous piece of foreign policy I have seen and the general sentiment i have encountered is WTF.

I think Putin is sitting back with his popcorn (or what else he fancies) and enjoying the show. If Trump collapses NATO he will get a ringing round of applause from that quarter.

Trump is no fan of NATO. It was designed to counter the USSR and won that aim. Most sensible commentators would prefer it to be disbanded because, without a defensive purpose, it has taken to justifying its existence by belligerently advancing a on Russia (despite solemn promises that it would never do that) and fomenting a war to destroy their forever enemy. In other words, the warmongers of Europe want a final nuclear war which would obviously be fought by USA. Trumpâs not biting and neither is Putin. Thank God for two sensible leaders. Do you want nuclear war?

Heâs trying to create the entirety of the American continents and islands as HIS undisputed sphere of influence, his hegemony. Hence, moves on Greenland, Canada, Panama, Venezuela, El Salvador, Mexico ⌠the lot. Trump isnât so much moving into Venezuela as moving China out, and out of his hemisphere.
Trump is exercising power, plain and simple. Heâs rejected a bunch of international organisations, spurned traditional allies as mostly feckless parasites descending into chaos and depravity, and is acting as powerful world leaders once did before the despicable UN was created to elevate tiny shitholes to equal status as superpowers.
