What happened? Lack of work for the vessel or is Hornbeck replacing the Americans with foreigners?

Wow, not good at all for HOS to be so deep into so many very big vessels without work for them…not good at all.
So does Chouest own all of the blue boats, I saw a few in Fourchon last Thursday and saw a model of one on the third floor of the corporate offices.

And I was shocked by all of the HOS boats parked when I was there. At least at C port it looked like some vessels where being loaded, with a ton of other Chouest supply vessels parked all over.

In a sense. Island owns the one you have in the picture, not the Olympic Intervention IV
Thanks for pointing that out for me.
The most ironic thing is that at one moment Chouest (thru the OMSA) is arguing against foreign flagged vessels in the GoM taking work from their vessels but at the same moment they now have a large foreign flagged vessel working in the Gulf. Still I applaud Gary for manning the ISLAND ENFORCER with an all American crew just as the law says they must and is not trying to circumvent the law by BS’ing the USCG to grant them a foreign manning waiver. Now, will they have the work for the vessel that HOS does not seem to have for their large subsea fleet?

I also applaud Chouest for bringing a foreign flagged vessel into US waters and manning it with US workers. It’s good for both parties. They save money on labor [the foreign workers compensation would be more than US workers] and US workers get badly needed jobs.
