# Father's Day

indeed I did…he is still alive and I am fortunate for that.

my old man was the reason I chose a seafaring profession. I fished with him when I was a wee lad and then worked for him as him mate on tugs and fish processors in Alaska. Although now long retired he still serves as a model of the man and captain I strive to be even today.

someday he will be gone and my world will be a much lesser place when that day arrives…
