Fisherman disappeared, found after three years in Norway

[quote]
Earlier this week, the police in Trøndelag announced that they have identified the man who was found on the shore in Frøya municipality on March 9th of this year.

The remains belonged to a 73-year-old man from the Scottish town of Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire.

A DNA sample from the remains found in Norway was sent to Kripos, which was able to reliably identify the man through a DNA match in Interpol’s wanted list.
– While there is a tragic accident behind this, we still hope that the find has value for the bereaved, says the prosecutor in charge of the case, Elisabeth Strand Bachmann in the Trøndelag Police District, in a press release earlier this week.

Now Scottish media are reporting that the 73-year-old’s name was Joe Masson
