“hundreds of barges used to cool the water”… and just think when these break loose and ram the coast, drill rigs, ships, lost at sea! I like the iceberg towing idea better 😉 ---

JOBS!! operating, manning, moving the barges. Maybe even a special “endorsement” in your MMC, Officer-in-charge of MicroSoft Hurricane Snuffer. Maybe get the Oil Companies to back-fit a device on the rigs to do the upwelling of chilly water. (I can’t believe I even bothered commenting; it’s a slow day) ---

I suspect it would take quite a large number of barges and who wants to volunteer to tow these things towards an on-coming major hurricane anyway? Imagine the lawyers that would get involved if a storm veered off cource after being cooled off and hit another area nearby. ---

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that one minute these people are worrying about man-induced climate change and the next minute they are proposing changing weather patterns? I’m pretty sure that there would be unintended (negative) consequences to mitigating the strength of hurricanes! ---
