Anadarko CEO: US LNG Exports Face Political Hurdles

10:45 (Dow Jones) It will be interesting to see if LNG exporting terminals get built in the US, since they face several challenges, including big political hurdles, Anadarko (APC) CEO Jim Hackett says at IHS CERA conference. Governments and companies should support construction of these projects because they support free trade and free enterprise around the world, Hackett said. It also remains to be seen if the US shale gas phenomenon can be spread quickly to other countries, he said. Lack of infrastructure and oil service companies are seen a major hurdles for shale development outside the US.
