500 vs 1600 NC Mate test

Is there any advantage to taking the 500 instead of the 1600 ton test? I can sit for either one.

The 1600 test gets you a license for greater tonnage.

THEY ARE THE SAME TEST

So the 500 and 1600are the same test. Do both test have the same number of questions or modules? I’m taking my last class in January and am getting ready to submit my application. Thanks Doug
