A second commercial tanker has been targeted by (probably) the Houthis. Since Yemen imports all of its food, and the Saudis bombed the port to smithereens, half of the 28 million people have no food now: today: right out of food right now. Aid can’t get in: that UAE aluminum catermeran that we saw burn dramatically was carrying aid. Aside from the fact that we should do something for the sake of human decency, they are also making it our problem. It looks to me like the regional authorities (Saudi Arabia and UAE, anyway) aren’t able to handle this. It may be too late to avoid a massive famine, but someone must do something.
