Tropical Cyclone Marcus at 1500UTC was centered about 111 NM WSW of Darwin, Australia and was moving SW at 8 knots with max winds of about 50 knots. Marcus will gradually turn more towards the west as it moves along the coast of Australia. After moving back over water conditions will be favorable for development with max winds reaching hurricane force in about 48 hours, possible exceeding 100 knots in 72 hours.
