Anyone know where to find some good study guides for the OUPV and Upgrade Tests?
or just read some good texts and learn the stuff… Bowdich, Duttons, The Cornell Maritime books. Chapman’s has more in it than a lot of limited licensees know after years of sailing.
Marine Education Textbooks, MET, in Houma, LA makes some pretty basic, but good exam prep guides, but you have to be a self starter - they are heavy on questions and light on explainations. But the main problem with prep work is really knowing what’s on the exams, that’s the biggest hurdle. The material itself is a walk in the park.

If you’re willing to spend $$$ Houston Marine home study package is the way to go… I used them and highly recommend !! Good Luck with the upgrade !!
