Disclaimer: I’m still new to the industry (don’t even have my TWIC or MMC yet). So apologies if this is a silly question. I just want to make sense of how these checklists work for future reference.
I’m reading the AB checklist, and I see that it says you need 1080 days of service on Oceans or Great Lakes for the unlimited module. So is “Oceans” the same thing as “OC” in regards to these checklists? What about “NC?” I’m still not too clear on where a vessel sails qualifies as what. Is there perhaps a resource outlining common maritime acronyms and terminology for all these different qualifications/licenses?
