Prelude

For those that are interested the Prelude, the world’s largest floating object, has started its tow, at six knots it will take 23 days.

Singapore’s PACC Offshore Services Holdings is undertaking the tow using six tugs accompanied by their own bunker tanker.

Prelude FLNG will be moored 475 kilometres (295 miles) offshore to the northeast of Broome in 250 metres of water. The unit has been designed to withstand regional cyclones and remain on site for the next 20-25 years
