Is it worth going back?

So I just found out that I’m getting released from my current non-maritime employer. My continuity renewal is in the works at NMC - I hope.

I used to sail with AMO, never got by book. Anyone have any thoughts on if its worth it to try to reactivate the license and go back to the union?

I’ve heard they’ve cleaned up their act, which is good, the question is, are there any ships?

I think it will be worth it, but going back to a union may not be. There are plenty of positions available that are non-Union. I really don’t know much about the different unions, but I do know I have never been a member and have always had a good spot somewhere with good pay. How hard is it going to be to get your license valid again?
